The Book of Mormon London

The Book of Mormon London

People rave about this but I really didn’t get it. I actually fell asleep in the first half. I am not a South Park fan. Sometimes difficult to hear what they were saying. Ding Dong Song was probably the most amusing part. I have wanted to see this show for 3 years now and after seeing it live, wasn’t disappointed. Great theatre, with no bad views. Highly recommend to see if you are in town, place was sold out on our visit. Perhaps I went in expecting something more… As a South Park fan, I really expected to enjoy this show… However the music is simply not good, there are many toilet-humour jokes, and the overall musical is simply boring, repetitive… I think I laughed twice during the entire play. The theater itself if nice, Art Deco style. The acting was ok. As we left we said how great it would be to watch this show every evening after work – such a fun and silly couple of hours, we felt truly uplifted as we exited. Would return and watch it all over again in a flash! Meanwhile the songs are on repeat in our heads…”ding dong…hello…”! This was a family trip with my son and his girlfriend in their twenties and my mum in her seventies and all five of us loved it. Yes the language is very South Park and I think my son wondered if it would over step the mark but we all loved it. The energy from the out set was fantastic and just carried you along. The parodies of the door knocking was side splitting. There were so many good things about the show , just go and experience them for yourselves. Own or manage this property?
